RESEARCHING, TESTING AND REHAB PLAN

Important:  It is vital that you get the past history of dental materials placed in the mouth (Material/which tooth/when placed) and also write down a history of when symptoms started.   ALSO, ask for the MSDS Sheets (Material Data Safety Sheets) since they show the chemical/material breakdown of the dental compounds!  Quite a few MSDS sheets can be found on the internet if you know the name of the compound and manufacturer.

This personal dental material history needs to be as complete as possible so a map of the teeth, with the materials used on them by date, can be made.  A personal history of health/allergy problems with dates should be made.  It may show a correlation with the dental materials.   After doing the following tests, a smart plan can be created to work on the teeth with allergic substances and the highly toxic.  Sometimes a tooth can have both in them and so you can resolve both problems at the same time.

This may take some time but DEMAND IT from all past dentists for health reasons.  If they want to know why, print out the e-medicine report by clicking here (EMEDICINE LINK) and provide it to them.  The reason you need this info is to know what materials to test for allergy, and for toxicity testing, and how to approach dental rehabilitation to resolve associated ncs/health problems.

1st) DENTAL Allergy Testing  ** See this forearm allergy testing update **

See a Dermatologist that does delayed allergy patch testing - True Test to begin, or even better, a dental patch panel.  Have the MSDS Sheets of all dental compounds that your dentists uses ready for them.  And as an additional step, take samples of the materials because MSDS sheets don't show all materials in the compound (Manufacturers of Dental compounds can legally hide 10% of materials used in compounds and change the formula by 10% at any time).  A good Dermatologist should be able to create an allergy patch test with material directly from dentists too.  Actually they should be be able to test almost anything you provide them that you think might be allergic eg.  detergent, soap etc... - Note: E-medicine article shows importance of 5 day testing (Non Metals) and ten day testing (Metals)

Allergy Doctors may not know that Dermatologists do this type of delayed allergy testing!

Trolabs provides allergen test materials to dermatologists etc.

Call the Trolab provider in Canada to find a local Dermatologist to who they provide complete dental allergen panels. (They supply the United States too).

Alternate option:  Biomeridian Test (This test received similar results to the patch test).

Another Test available:  Melisa Test (Metal Allergy test - See a Success Story)

2nd) DENTAL Toxicity Testing

Scientific Health Solutions, Inc (Tells what materials are most toxic to the least toxic for your system.  Helps to define what dental materials on the teeth are larger problems to least.  Covers most materials and does not cover root canal materials which are mostly toxic anyway (See cytotoxic liners placed in root canals).  This test was found to be very accurate in the cases of NCS condition discovery and diagnosis).

or

Clifford Materials Reactivity Testing  (Covers most materials including root canal materials and says if suitable/not suitable to your system). See Interview with maker of this test.

3rd)  Ask the dentist to furnish samples of permanent and temporary materials that he will use including cements.

Get a sample and put it in your mouth between the cheek and gum for as long as you can. The Heavy Metal Bulletin advocates 2 weeks during waking hours. Another recommendation is to test 2 hours a day for 2 weeks. Record symptoms, if any, for each material. Make sure to include cements with your test. Ultra-sensitive persons have the most difficulty with these materials. See this link (MCS LINK) (Story)

Emedicine Article recommends similar to the note above, the following.

Cheek and gum testing is the most reliable method reported by MCS persons.

4th) Decide with your physician and dentist which dental material to use and what action plan to take.
